Hi all
I have a 1995 440 and when I put the key in to start it the interior lights go dim and thats it. I have charged the battery and tried to start using jump leads, but nothing.
Does anyone have any idea's as I just don't understand it was OK please help.

Re: can't get my 330 to turn over
I hope you are hearing a click when you turn the key. The click lets you know the starter switch (a solenoid) is working. If it is then your starter is probably not working. You can take it out and test it or jumper the solenoids connections to see if it turns.
If you need help locating the starter please let me know (PM or email me) on what motor you have.
Let us know how it turned out.

Re: can't get my 440 to turn over
OI tried the starter out of the car and it works, I then thought it must be the emmobilizer so how do I go about that? I haven't changed the batteries yet as I don't want to do it wrong. any advice would be very helpful. Regards Hayden (new member)

haydenps, welcome to Matthew's Volvo Site.
If you are wanting to change the batteries in the key fob the attached shows how. Be sure to prise the cover apart where it is shown.
I don't know the part numbers of the batteries but they are a common battery in key fobs.
Bill.
