High pitch hum after start for 5 seconds and after shutdown

High pitch hum after start for 5 seconds and after shutdown

I have a c70 2002. After I start the car there is a high pitch hum for about 5 seconds then it goes away. It happens again after I shut the car off. Any ideas? Air conditioner? Thank you for your help.
