Changing power steering fluid on S80
Changing power steering fluid on S80
How do I drain the power steering fluid on a 2002 S80 T6? Do I have to suck it out through the reservoir or is there a hose that I can disconnect to drain it?

You can do both. If you vacuum out the fluid before removing the return hose it will make less of a mess.
Place the return hose (safely away from the accesory belt) into a bucket . Then add a section of extra hose to the where the return line went with a plug or lift the line above the resivour so the fluid will stay in the resiviour. Have a friend start the car for a few seconds while you keep the resv full. When you see clean fluid coming out of the return line you are done.
It will be your choice to add an inline filter or magnet to help with wear going forward. Owners manual will specify the proper fluid.
No drain that I am aware of but I wish there was one.
