Side Mirror Glass

Post by vooman »

Have a 2002 S60 and our passenger side mirro was sidwswip[ed - the housing is okay, but the glass broke. I'm also broke but I need a replacement. Ebay has stick on ones, has anyone tried them?

Or better yet - where can I find a OEM or similar replacement? I see PPG ones for about $24 online, but can't find any in stock. If I could find one local, Los Angeles, for pick up, that's be sweet.

Thank you!

Not my first post here, but I lost all my old acct info and it's easier to start new account.

Don't know anything about the ebay ones, you might call a local glass company and see what they would charge you to cut you a piece of glass and put it on. I had this done on a tahoe once, can't remember the price, but it wasn't terribly expensive.

I had my glass fall out after a car wash. I used the stick on and they don't work well. I finally went to Volvo Marin, bought the mirror glass replacement, and they installed it free. The mirror glass was $91.00, so check Autozone or Kragen auto parts online. Found them much cheaper and could install it yourself.
