Temp gage

Post by RicksBrick »

The problem I'm having is with my temp gage in my 89 240DL 5 speed. It registers at a quarter after a few minutes but then drops down to below the redline. It will sit there for a bit, rise slightly and drop all the way down again. The radiator, hoses, waterpump and thermostat have all been replaced and I'm still having the issue. This is my first Volvo ever so any help would be greatly appreciated.

You are probably suffering from the 240 temperature board problem. Our sponsor IPD has addressed this problem and you can read about it here.
