I have been dealing with a series of electrical issues with my 67 1800S.
First it was the coil, that had stopped the car from starting. After the coil replacement, the tachometer stopped working.
Now after having the generator rebuilt this past winter, after the generator light came on during a drive, and was clearly not generating, I have a new problem.
When the generator was first installed, it worked well, no issues. I put in a new battery, and the car started easily and runs well. But after the first start, the generator light came on again, even though the car runs well, and must be generating power.
Any idea why this light could be staying on--- could it be from too much power being generated? Or any ideas on how to get the tach working again.
Thanks for any advice. These electrical issues drive me nuts.
