xc tire help

Just bought a 99 xc, loving the car.. but here's the issue..

Noticed it has one brand of 205/65 15 on the front and 195/65 15s (of another brand) on the rear... both pair seem to have good tread

I am planning on a trip out of state this week, should I put new tires on?

I don't want to damage the AWD system... (I have put about 1000 miles on before I realized it could be a problem)

Well, technically...they're the same size, the 205's are just fatter.

But from what I've heard, you want the same tread pattern on all 4 corners, or it WILL screw up the sensitive AWD system. See if you can round up another pair of tires to match one of the sets.

Ok, I hadn't thought of that! I was worried about the size, and never considered the tread. The 2 sets are similar, but not identical... I appreciate your response
