2001 S80 T6 trunk button not working

I've bought a '01 S80 T6 that needs a little work. One of the problems is that I can only open the trunk with the key. I can toggle between the valet on and off message, but button still does not operate, also sunroof does not operate but from other threads it seems that I will need an alarm module because I can get the lights to flash on alarm but no sound. I can arm the alarm with the trunk and doors open which in my opinion should not happen. Are the doors and trunk tied into the alarm module?

Got the problem fixed with the nonopening trunk. When I was working on the trunk I realized that I did hear the relay clicking, I swapped the relay with the fuel door relay (had the same numbers) and when I used the fob or trunk button the relay would click but trunk still would not open. When I took off the latch and started to look around I noticed the pins to the plunger had a lot of stuff on it, I took a small file and cleaned off the pins and the plugs for the connector, tested it and it WORKS, guess it was a combination of bad relay and dirty connectors.
