Groaning from power steering?

Groaning from power steering?

'04 2.5 AWD. When turning left, there's a noise from the steering - it doesn't do it when turning right, though.

Any idea what might be causing it?

Had same problem with '03 2.5 AWD. Find black rubber bushing/sleeve with 4" skirt at base of steering column under carpet at feet of driver. Remove the spring clip that holds the black rubber skirt to the opening in the floor, slide the bushing down and lubricate the steering shaft with silicone grease (1 oz tub from Ace Hardware), and then re-install. No more groaning, no more shuddering. Hope this helps.
