V70 radio problem

Post by hornetv6 »

I feel a little stupid but, here is the problem. My radio in my 2008 V70 will not pick up any AM stations. Please don't tell me there aren't any stations available.
All I did was press the FM button and programmed one of my favorite stations. From then on no AM station will come in.

Funny, we were only talking about AM radios a day or two ago...Were the AM stations coming in before you programmed the FM station that might make you think that's why the AM is not working?...

The AM antenna is the copper foil on the rear quarter window...Did you haul something back there recently that might have scratched that foil and broke it?...Or have the rug rats been rough-housing back there?...If that foil gets broken, AM reception will suffer...Look closely for scratches, cuts, or breaks in the foil...IPD sells the kit for repairing damaged rear window defroster heaters...It can also be used to repair this kind of antenna...
