How to convert generator to alternator on my 122?

Hello! I am the proud owner of a real lemon, a 1966 122s, that somehow got me from Washington State to Louisiana to Pennsylvania this summer. The generator fried somewhere in Virginia, and I am hoping someone out there has some recommendations on how to a) fix the generator, or b) replace the generator/voltage regulator with an alternator. Any ideas? Thanks so much!

Depends on if you want the juice or authenticity or both.
I came across these guys in MI. http://www.alternatorparts.com/
Others have had the same situation you have now, there's got to be some info with the older model groups.
There's always the 1 wire alternator option from the auto parts store. Cheap and easy except for bracketing.
Even a local starter/alt shop should be able to help.
