Peeling Steering Wheel Cover 04 XC-70

After picking my car up from a valet last night, I was shocked to see my steering wheel beginning to peel. I thought it was leather wrapped, but discovered it is some thin man-made covering over rubber. It appears that a small hole began and is now growing with every driving hour. Has anyone experienced this and has their dealer helped? I can't believe my elegant car, which is solid in all other ways, has such a cheap steering wheel cover.
