air con part no. for v70

Hi

I'm a bit stumped. The air con compressor bearing has seized up on my V70 T5 (RE51 reg) which caused the belt to wear through and then no power etc.

In trying to get a replacement I can't get any consensus on the part number I need and I don't want to get the wrong one. I rang my local volvo parts desk who told me the part number I need was 36000576. However, the number on the actual compressor that is now broken is 8708581. Both of these are different to other part numbers I've been told by various parts dealers I've contacted.

Can someone please convince me of the part I need to get, or maybe assure me that either of the above, or possibly others, will fit?

volvo oftens changes part numbers, so don't go by the number on the old compressor.

Usually the new part number, ie 36000576 "supercedes" p n 8708581, etc.
