6 CD changer receptacle

I cant seem to locate the receptacle for a CD changer in my 1999 XC70....Any ideas?

The stock location for the optional 6 disc changer is the rear left of the car.
The floor panel of the storage area is just clipped in and will pull right up.
If you have the cable, ( and not all wagons do...) that's where it will be.

If you haven't got a factory installed cable, the jack on the back of the radio is all ya get.
That's really all you need for installing most iPod/mp3 and such adapters.

I was looking under the floor panel doors and I can't see anything. Can you be more specific?!

I've stumbled across a stock Volvo 6 CD changer for sale from a 2000 V70. The fella wants $80...(says he paid $350.) What are these things worth? Is this a good deal??

Pop the radio and see if the cable appears on that end.
( DO NOT unplug the radio unless you have it's security code! )
On the back of the radio, you'll find a round, 13 pin DIN jack.
That will show you what the radio end plug looks like.
If it isn't readily apparent, it may be wrapped in foam tape.
Some cars left the factory with the cable, some did not...

At the rear of the car, it will be accompanied by a 2 conductor power lead.
IIRC, the rear connector is smaller than the plug at the radio end and may
also be protected by foam tape. Have a good look around. They hide.

I have a feeling, this is the same thing that I am trying to ask in my post "1996 850 Turbo Factory Radio/tape/CD repair and question"

I have a 1996 850 turbo 4 door with a cable like this that I do not know where it goes. Is it likely to be in the trunk and what is the value of tracing it down?

I removed the radio and looked at the back. There are two connections for "round" cables...one is in there and says "amp" (which I assume is amplifier) the other which has no cable attached to it, is smaller, round and says "CD" on it. Is this the receptacle we are all talking about??

Is the cable available if this is the receptacle, but no cable??

I hope to use the 13 pin DIN as the input for my GPS audio. The GPS feeds our through a 3.5mm jack.
Is anyone able to tell me what lines I will connect to on the 13 pin DIN please?

Sorry, must have been half asleep in the last post.
Not 13 pin ... rather... the CD changer input is an 8 pin DIN

Can anyone tell me what wires I would have to go after in order to allow the audio output of the GPS to go into the CD changer input jack? It would be great to be able to play the GPS in my 12 year old "1998 Volvo V70 XC AWD Turbo"

Not that simple. You'll need an adapter.
Blitzsafe and USA Spec are the favorites on the boards.

For the earlier question : The only value of the cable to the back is
if you wish to install the optional OEM changer back there.
For iPod, nav and other audio source adapters, plugging in
right at the radio is usually simpler and easier.
