Headlight Adjustment Screw for S40

Post by kencirillo »

The vertical headlight adjustment nut for a 2000 S40 broke and I'm trying to find out where I can purchase these as opposed to buying the entire assembly (or some way to jury rig it so the headlight is kept in place). Any ideas? Thanks.

Hmmm... Mine looks different. I have a 2003 S40, and the headlight assembly looks like the one pictured here:

The white nut with the 3 splines broke. I accidently snapped it and it seems that the rest of the nut is brittle. Is there a different part number for this? Has anyone found this replacement part, or is the only course to switch to the adapter? Or does anyone have this nut and screw in a headlight assembly they would like to part out? I have looked at the volvo parts diagram online and cannot find even a diagram for this style.
Thank you for any help or information.
