The owners manual (and everything else I have seen) states that front bulbs are all replaced from inside the hood. My driver's front parking light (very corner / amber) is out. When I look inside, there is no way there is access to pull the socket. You can't even see the back side of the assembly over in the far corner. There appears to be a metal shield (part of the inner fender, that is covering where the bulb would be. Do I need to remove the whole light assembly to gain access? if so, where are the bolts to remove the assembly? I see the top 2, but don't know if there are others (on the under side) that have to be removed to pull out the entire light assembly.

Just replaced mine it was the right side and had to remove the washer tube to get at it,they are a small socket with a removable wire socket, some are a straight socket some are angled shape, just push in and twist left and pull out,
The bulb is available at any auto supply dept.Your Volvo dealer will try to sell you a socket and bulb kit as they say
the contacts are a problem, mine tried,my contacts were clean so relpaced bulbs only,Regardless as I said Small socket
1 1/2"wide at the base an are replaceable from under the hood and are tucked at the end of the light housing
