Engine System Service Required Message

For the past several months we've been getting an "Engine System Service Requried" message in the message window. Unforutnately have no idea what it means and it wasn't on when we last took the car in for service so they couldn't diagnose it.

Is this just a reminder to get a tune-up, or is there something that actually needs to be fixed? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Take a photo of the message and the light that goes in when it is on, so that be sure if it is "service reminder" or a real "check engine".

Hi,

I've had a problem ike this.
Mine turns out to be a possible short in the rear N/S door.
If somebody slams it a bit too hard up pops the orange warning light and the message.
It normally clears itself ina few hours.
I've put a code reader on the car a few times but no codes found; but again I can clear it with the reader.
