No it doesn't.
It says 3309 fluid
If you can find it: MOBIL 3309 IS Volvo fluid but when Mobil labled, it costs about 6 bucks a quart
Volvo buys it from Mobil, relables it and charges 16-18 bucks a bottle!

The other fluid you can buy (also 3309) is TOYOTA TYPE IV, SAME STUFF

This is not a synthetic fluid but it has special properties for Aisin Warner transmissions and you must use it

Both of these will work. I have also heard that Valvoline trans fluid works to but I have not verified that.

Valvoline's website says the Maxlife fluid meets Toyota/Lexus T-IV specs, but doesn't mention Volvo. I have seen where people say they are using it, but to me with the Toyota fluid basically as readily available and as cheap (I wouldn't)..

Valvoline .pdf spec sheet does claim "Volvo passenger car applications", and the FAQ section does say Volvo.....
http://www.valvoline.com/pdf/Maxlife_ATF.pdf
But i just went by the Toyota dealer and picked up a case (12 qtrs) of Toyota T-IV for my next flush. I try to flush a little over 11-quarts through, have 1/2 to 3/4 quart left over for topping off. '04 S60, NA.

Actually it says JW8 as listed in this link. 2007 C70, So JW8 is still 3309 and not synthetic like the Volvo dealership is telling me?

3309
VOLVO FLUID AND
TOYOTA FLUID
IS NOT SYNTHETIC AND NO VOLVO FLUID IS SYNTHETIC

ASK YOUR VOLVO DEALER TO SHOW YOU ON THE BOTTLE WHERE IS SAYS SYNTHETIC?
ANYWHERE......
Then tell him to STOP telling people it's synthetic or you will sue for giving false information in the product they're selling

Oh I would love too! So back to the link, what is JW8? and why does it not say 3309? I just want to be sure im using the right stuff...the last thing I want to pay for is a new transmission. And how can the dealership charge $33 when they as you stated charge 16-18?

The fluid type is JWS 3309, there is no JW8 or JWS. Volvo is not immune from typos.
If you go to that site and pull up a 2007 S60 which uses the same gearbox it lists jws3309

pulled from that source:

Fluids
Transmission1
Oil grade
Manual: MTF 97309
Automatic:
AW5
TF-80SC (S60R)
JWS 3309
JWS 3309

OK, cut and paste didn't pick up the column chart.

Now that I looked at it again i think it does say JWS, and must be a typo as you stated. How in the hell can the dealership get away with saying its synthetic and telling me its $33? I guess cuz there the only Volvo Dealership in vegas and what happens in vegas stays in vegas!
