brake problem ....what the hell was that

monday I was driving on the highway doing 60 some **** cuts me off so i had to slam on my brakes.After I started accelarating my steering wheel shook like crazy and the car started pulling to the left and I couldnt go over 45 so i pulled off the highway and took the service road for another 5 miles after about 4 miles I lost my peddle had to pump my brakes to stop so i though master gone or i broke a line but brake light inside. got to work and let the car sit for 8 hours when I started her and drove the brakes were ok peddle there car wasnt pulling anymore.and car was driving fine so I ask WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT frozen caliper.Ive been driving for 2 days now and all is well.I will check the brakes this weekend.
PS the only thing i did on sat. I took OUT my overdrive and put that bypass plate ipd sells and it was raining like crazy when it happened so I ask again WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT

I had a few similar situations, so I will be curious to hear about potential causes and solutions.

When I hit the brakes hard going about 65mph, there was a SERIOUS pull to the right. The car sorta swerved for a sec. I have not been able to reproduce the problem again.

A few weeks ago again, decelerating from about 50mph, I seemed to have a loss in braking power. When I pressed on the brake pedal, the pedal seemed to stop about half way. Felt sort of like the ABS wanted to engage, but it didn't. Again, I have not been able to reproduce the problem.
