98 S70 Transmission seal

Post by Dave123 »

Getting ready to put a new passanger side transmission seal in to hopefully stop a small leak. Anything I should know about removing the old seal? Axle is out and I was simple going to try to coax it out with a screw driver. Thanks!

Don't scratch the transmission surface where the seal presses in . Take you time. If you have something like a metal tire spoon ,it might be better than a screw driver that has shape edges
Make sure you put the new one in square
