Lumpy start

I havent started the V70 for 3 days, when I did it was very lumpy, the rpm went up and down and the engine stalled. This lasted about 4 seconds. It didnt seem to respond to the throttle during that time. I started it again, it cranked over for a couple of seconds, then fired up normally. Is there a problem?
