I like driving my 93 5 spd 850, but those $50.00 pit stops could get tiresome. What are people thinking?

Why should it? if you cant afford to buy gas then you probably cat afford to buy a new car. I think 23-30 mpgs is pretty good if your car is paid off, reliable, and if you can do your own maintainence.

X2 in everything that this guy said.

My other SUV gets 12-14 MPG and runs on 92, so the 850 gets driven daily :D

$8-$10 gas hasn't killed it in Europe, so I wouldn't expect that the availability of cheap gas in the US will harm it.

They don't get the best gas mileage out there, but then they don't get the worst! You still see plenty of V6/V8 trucks and SUVs on the road.

It does hurt when I fill up every week, but then I think about where I would be if I'd bought that Jeep Cherokee instead a few years ago and smile a little bit. And I don't have a car payment.

Hey I feel better already. I don't like the idea of riding around in a cigar box with a tiny engine. So I'm in for another year if ol' 93 continues to hold up. I would like to optimize my miles per gallon, though. That's a different post.
