hi, I have climate control on my 2008 V50 (1.6 desiel).
but no matter how low I set the temperature, it does not blow cold air.
When I switch on the ac manually, I can hear a (very) slight extra load on the engine, so I assume the compressor is cutting it - could be my imagination. I checked the compressor fuse and it is fine.
Dropping the temp just causes the fan to come on full blast, so the system thinks it is trying to cool.
There are no warning lights on the dash.
Where do I start?

Welcome to Matthew's Volvo Site.
Bill.
Locate the compressor, switch on the AC with the engine running and watch the centre of the pulley. It should start and stop regularly if the AC is working correctly.so I assume the compressor is cutting it

if you see an RPM inscrease (slight) i had a similar problem, check the compressor, have someone switch it on while you are watching, if the belt moves than its a internal error, and you may need to either recharge your system, or have a cracked vent core.
Speed has never killed anyone, suddenly becoming stationary... That's what gets you.
