Is is possible to put '86 Euro 740 headlights on a US 740?

I'm a volvo newbie and just bought my uncle's (U.S.) '86 740 Turbo. It has four lights in front, separate high and low beams. I learned the '86 740 in Europe has one large light instead (with wipers i think). Is this true/accurate?

I saw the large rectangular light. It looks more appealing (for me) than the separate high/low lights. Does anyone know if you can fit the large single lights in the place of the two smaller lights? Anyone tried it? Oh and if its possible, does anyone know where to get em?

The large rectangular one is standard in Europe, you will never see a 240 or 740 with anything else. I thougt that it was not allowed to have rectangular lights in USA. You used a lot of sealed beam, those have never been used in Europe. Interesting to compare! If you take a new photo from inside, I can compare if it is looking totally the same. Take a photo at battery side.

oooh so they're the same... now, where do you think they have em for sale? i really like those big lights. they look so playful compared to the sad 4 light setup.

Is it possible to get an H4 HID Upgrade for the above 740?

Well, the American versions of the 740 differed from the European version in what came standard and what as options. American 740s have ABS and airbags and catalytic converter, while those are options in my car.

i saw them lights. thank you. but they're very expensive. i wish there was a eu member willing to *Sell* his old lights.
