Lift gate wiring harness

I have 2 2000 V70 with wiring harness problems in them. Volvo says that in 2001 you can get a reair kit for the problem with the wires going bad at the bend point,but not for the 2000. So has anyone used the kit or replaced the harnesses in any V70s.Use to get 1.5 hr to do a 240 wiring harness(per side). Is it about the same amout of work? Tahnks

Most people have to splice the worn out wires back together or make a new harness. If the 2001 harness is not a lot of money, you can try it out and see if it works.
