1995 960 Fog Lights

The owner's manual calls for a 27w 881 bulb for the factory fog lights. Would going to 55w H3 bulbs put an unreasonable stress on the electrical system?

I don't know for sure but you will be doubling the amount of current going through the wires. I would be cautious.

The owner's manual I have for the '95 960 has the H3 55w bulb for the fog lamp.

Interesting, the manual on the Volvo US site lists the GE881, 27w

Very interesting because that was where I got my manual.

Page 6.6, replacing bulbs, fog lights - Bulb Power US Bulb No. H3 55w. A further check on page 9.6 Specifications GE881 27w. It looks like Volvo US can't make up their tiny, collective minds.
