Hello guys. I'm a newbie and I have a problem with my ABS light. (Volvo V70, 2lt, T5, 1998)
A few weeks ago my ABS light came on. I took it to the mechanic and he said that the ABS module was gone. I replaced it with a new one (second hand) and now when I start the car the ABS light goes out (which is good) BUT when I start driving it after a couple of miles the ABS light comes on and stays on and no ABS control whatsoever (when I brake hard all wheels lock up). When I stopped the engine and re-started the car the ABS light goes out again but when I start driving the light comes back up again. I've checked all the fuses and cleaned all 4 wheel-sensors but unfortunately the problem stays.
What else can I check/do? Any ideas? Cheers Rudy

Hello mate
This link may help:

Matty Moo - who repairs the things - is giving away some in exchange for your old one (check the 850/V70 forum). It may be an option if he has one that fits and its not too expensive to ship it to Neu Zulund.

Seems like you have been unlucky with your replacement abs unit as this is a common issue on volvos made from 1996-2001. Also, check the resistanse of the sensors on each wheel when you have the abs unit unplugged.
