Actual miles are about 120k. Want to know if this is a good price and what to look for as far as service and repairs. Are the transaxles still trouble on this model year? Also, would be good to know about the rate of anything else major: occurances of ABS module failure, timing belt breakage, suspensions crapping out, carrier bearings (basically anything thats going to cost over $1000 or leave someone stranded on the side of the road).2004 Volvo XC70 - $6,900

This car is for my brother who has two little boys and needs reliable family transportation for carting them around and getting him to and from med school in the NH mountains. Also interested in hearing a case for the 1998-2000 model year XC70 being a good deal over the later models. I personally have a 99 and 98 v70 and love em, but my bro needs AWD where he lives.
