'01 V70 Suspension Illustration

Post by Jagtec1 »

I replaced my front struts and upper spring mounts some time ago, and am not sure if I put the upper "washer" on correctly. The part I am talking about has a rubber ring around the outer portion and sits just below the large strut nut. Does the rubber donut go up or down? Anyone have an illustration, or perhaps a picture of the top of your strut as viewed from the engine bay?

Thanks

Bueller? Bueller? Would you mind looking under your hood, and checking for me please? It is easy to see which way the washer is oriented....from the top. No disassembly required. I don't know anyone with a Volvo, or I would look myself.

Thanks!

where can I find a write up that is specific to the 2001 on s60/v70 front suspension (control arm or strut) assembly and disassembly? I have replaced both axles and the drivers side control arm in the past but have now hit a serious snag as I am now attempting to replace the right side control arm.Any help would be appreciated as I have already had to file 1 insurance claim in the last week for a tree branch falling on the car, the storms are forcasted for the next three days and I am getting nervous.
