Blower motor or something else???

So the wife is driving the car and of course something goes wrong. No A/C. Well come to find out, essentially the blower is not working. Last year we had the blinking issue a couple times but everything seemed to resolve itself after turning off the car.

I attempted to troubleshoot this so I checked the fuses, and also pulled the cabin filter only to see zero movement. So I figured why not tap it a little bit see if it moves. With the car off, it moves what seems to be smoothly. With the car on, I taped it and got it spinning with the screwdriver and it continued to spin. It goes off after a minute or so, and doesn't ever reach a high speed. Am I looking at a blower motor being the issue or something else. I figured if something else was shot it wouldn't ever kick on at all or am I totally off base?

I did pull the glove box, pull the connector to make sure it was seated properly but that didn't seem to fix it. Any ideas?

It sounds like it is just the blower motor to me but to be sure, pull it out and connect it to a 12 volt source to see if it works correctly or not.

It sounds like the bearings have gone out in the motor. Most motors have a thermal cut-out switch built into them that will turn the motor off if it starts to overheat (for example if it was having to work real hard against bad bearings).
