Stuck Emergency Brake

I was in an accident and my car has been sitting in my drivway for the past month. I left the emergency brake engaged and today when I went to move it the car would not budge. I am getting rid of the car friday so I need to move it. Is it possible to cut the cable or another easy way to disengage it? Also if you guys are looking for parts let me know.

Hit the rotor with a rubber mallet. Or try rocking the car back and forth and they might free up.

You can loosen the cable up, but chances are the shoes are just stuck, and that won't do any good until you break them free.

If you are putting the handle down and the brake is still on, cutting the cable is not going to do anything.
