2000 S40 Fuse Removal

I am trying to replace the fuse on my A/C compressor. It is in a yellow housing with 3 other fuses (Interior Lamps, Central Locking, A/C Compressor) Is there a way to get that out with out buying the Fuse Removal Tool it talks about in the manual? I have tried going at it with small screw drivers but haven't had any luck.
