I use the climate control with everything on auto and the temperature at 68.
However, starting today, if I set the temperature at anything above the coldest position, it will start blowing lukewarm air at the floor instead of cold air into the cabin. Even if I manually set it to blow into the cabin, it is lukewarm air. It only blows cold air if set to the coldest setting. (temperature was 85 when this was happening)
What can cause this? Everything was fine. I wasn't playing with the temperature dial at all, it is always at 68 degrees.
I am going to buy a new climate control unit from the local junkyard, I'm lucky that they have one!
I hope this fixes the problem. What would cause this to happen? Bad temperature sensor?
Thank you
Climate control unit gone bad...

Before you start throwing parts at it, does the AC light blink when you first start the car? If so, the unit recorded a code that a dealer and a few lucky souls with the right code reader can retrieve. It may be a damper motor.
