ETM plate position

Post by edbrig »

I recently removed the ETM for replacement but am considering trying to clean it before I spend the 600 bucks on an XeModex refurb. The plate inside the ETM stays open ever so slightly. Is this normal or should it close 100%? Is it worth cleaning or should I just get a new one from XeModex?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

How did you go with the suspected ETM failure. The throttle plate's normal operating angle is between 24 and 33 degrees on the ETMs I've tested so far, so it's quite a noticable gap when you look at it.

Hope this helps
