Passenger door wont open from outside

The passenger door on my 2000 S70 won't open from the outside. The door can only be opened from the inside. Any ideas on what the problem is/ how hard to fix? All of the outside door handles on my car are pretty tough, they really have to be pulled on to get them to open. Any ideas on that too. Thanks

I have the same problem with my 850, I dont know if the linkages from the inside of the door are any differently linked from the outside. but id like to know as well, its been awhile since i had my door apart, and that wasnt my priority then.
