I just purchased a 2004.5 S40, with the basic interior treatment. I love the look of the woodgrain interiors I've seen on these models, and am interested in replicating that look in my car.
I've noticed some wood grain kits online which, of course, are appliques which are applied over the existing interior pieces. I would not be averse to that option as I've done this in my Land Rover and have been extremely happy with the results:

This was done nine years ago when the vehicle was new, and its just as good as the day I installed it. Wish I could remember the name of the company or I'd just order from them. I'm sure the quality of some of these products can vary greatly.
Does anyone have a suggestion as to a source for a good kit or, more favorably, a cost effective OEM actual parts package (center stack, door handles, etc.) in wood grain? I'm sure from the dealer those parts prices would be brutal.
I'd also be interested in an automatic gearshift knob and the dome/map light assembly (non-sunroof) that surrounds the rearview mirror, if anyone can give me some direction there, also.
Thanks in advance.
