VERY BAD PROBLEM HERE!!!!

My automatic transmission...

D, 3, 2, 1 respond as if it were N, R works fine, i think

I accidentally overreved my engine, well it was right before the red and then i switched to D and thats when things started to get out of whack

I had a fat cd case on the floor and it kinda got between my foot the the acceleraot which cause the high rev... Just for you info.

WHAT DO I DO!?

I am not that familiar with Volvo automatic transmissions and my repair manual does not go into detail about the inner workings of such. However, I am much more familiar with the operation of the Torqueflite automatic transmission in older Chryslers. For a Torqueflite, the symtoms you describe (working reverse and no forward gears) are indicative of a non-engaging rear planetary gear clutch pack. Since most modern automatic transmissions use planetary gear sets with clutch packs, I would suspect one of your clutch packs has malfunctioned and is no longer locking the planetary gear set needed for forward movement. I think it is time to call the Transmission Shop on this one.

Just to give you guys some info, a pump bursted or failed causing the transmission to not be able to shift to the forward gears. Everything has been straightened out
