Problems With The Trouble Code Box Under Hood

Hi Everyone!

Had a couple of questions about the DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) box where the codes are read:

1) I was successful at retrieving the codes but am unable to clear them following the directions I received on this forum. I
hold down the button for 6-7 seconds but the red light does not come back on (for me to hold the button down again for 6-7
seconds). I tried it 5 or 6 more times holding the button down for a shorter time and holding the button down for a longer
time but, no matter how long I hold it down, the red light does not come on again. Anybody know why? Is there another
way to clear the codes other than this method?

2) Sockets A6 and B6 did not work. Thought this was kind of weird since the other sockets worked fine. When I put the
pin into these sockets and press the button, the red light doesn't come on at all - steady or blinking. Is there a way to fix
these individual sockets and get the codes?

I see that people are viewing this post but nobody has left a reply with any answers to my questions. Maybe the ones who have viewed don't have an answer but, if you know how to fix the above problems or can direct me to a place I can get some info, please take a few minutes and let me know? Thanks. In order to clear the codes you must read all of them before you attempt the reset procedure and it must be done in the same session - without turning the key off or removing the flywire from that socket. Each socket (system) is cleared individually.

A-6 doesn't do anything and B-6 talks to the power seat(s). If you don't have power seats there will be no signals from B-6.
