Brake Rotors
Brake Rotors
I was recently replacing the rear pads on my 2001 V70 XC. I intended to replace the rotors as well, since you cannot reface Volvo rotors. However, I was completely unable to remove the rotors. After unbolting and hanging the caliper aside, I tried tapping, thumping, pulling, swearing, WD40,heat, all to no avail. is there some esoteric system for the removal of the rotor? Is there some type of special puller tool which is available for this situation?

If I remember correctly when I did my rotors, that strange long bolt needed unthreading to get the rotor off.
