*update- After doing much searching and checking, problem seems to have disappeared for now. could find no codes either past of current. probably a component that is on it's way out. will just have to way until it shows permanently. thanks

I also have a 2005 S40 that has climate control issues. Often times, it blows wicked hot out of the drivers side even with the a/c on. It usually happens at startup. I adjust the temperature knob way up and then back down and that seems to "reset" it so that I can get cool air (or whatever temp I've actually set it at).

For what it's worth, I've also done research before on my a/c not blowing cold in very hot weather (over 85 degrees fahrenheit) and it seems that my compressor clutch might be going. Not sure if that's related to the weird hot air problem that happens occasionally, but throwing it out there.

If anyone has thoughts on either thing, I'd appreciate hearing them.

THANKS!
