Hi, just joined the forum. I want to first tell you that I have owned a bunch of 740's but never ran into this problem before.
I can start it cold but it sounds blubbery at first then clears up but wet exhaust dripping out the tail pipe. Seems it is running too rich. I can't get it to run if I turn the key off and have to wait for it to cool before it will start again. Any help is great.

If anybody runs into this problem the temp. sensor is your best place to look. After thinking hard and checking everywhere but there
I found it. I thought the fuel pump relay at first, then after changing it, nothing changed so I kept going through the process of removing the possible components. Anyway thanks !
