newbie with a question about expansion tank install 98 s70

Hello,

I have a leaking expansion tank and want to replace it. The jobe seems easy, except the coolant level sensor seems to be in with some sort of epoxy. Any ideas on how to get the new sensor (which I will order with the tank) to stay in the new tank, or how to re-use the old sensor? Any help would greatly appreciated.
