02 v70xc stuck in park

Apparently a fairly common problem but with no simple shift override on the xc ( apparently involves disconnecting battery and pressing brake and...). I tore into the center console. With the PDF availiable on this site it takes about 10 minutes and was able to see that the cable switch to the ignition was sticking. After manually moving the switch (white plastic, moves vertically) I cleaned it and now it seems to be operating correctly.

I am interested in replaceable parts beside the microswitch in these automatic shift assemblies. Where in the shift lock solenoid or is this an all in one assembly (excluding the shifter handle and circuit board directly under it).

The shiftlock system on that car uses no microswitches. It effective blocks reverse so you can't get it out of park or accidentally go into reverse while moving. The shiftlock assy is integral in the shifter assembly and is commanded via the GSM which is the top cover panel of shifter.
