Did anyone make a 250,000 mile high mileage badge?

Either Volvo or one of the clubs? My dealer only has 100K and 200K badges.

How many miles are on your Volvo?

Volvo doesn't provide badges any more. They will send you a certificate (woopee) every 100,000 miles.

I did a recent web response for the high mileage club and was told that it was discontinued by Volvo and would transition to the "Volvo Heritage Club". They said to watch for news in early 2012. My guess is they may move away from the stickers and go back to the brass awards in the past.

If your dealer has those badges I'm surprised as they came directly from Volvo in the past. I would grab one of those if you could. I was killing some time last month and found one for close to $50 on eBay last month. Apparently there is some sort of demand for these.

When I put 400,000 on my '87 740 GLE, I received a 100,000 and 250,000. That was about 1997. At that time they changed the program and decided to give badges every 100,000 so I did get the 300,000 and 400,000. After that I gave the car to a single mom (very clean 740 in great shape). I then stepped into a 960. When I hit 200,000 on the 960 I totaled it before I ordered the badge. Then I got another 960, our S70, and the Yellow 850 T-5R Sedan. When the 960 hit 100,000 we registered for the High Mileage Club and get a sticker and a coupon for 20% or 30% off. I kinda like the discount, especially with the expensive parts. My wagon is about to cross 200,000 (196,850). I do like the badges though.

From what I can remember, that jump from 100,000 to 250,000 was an attempt to save money because so many cars were doing the 100,000. Their plan was to do 100,000 - 250,000 - 500,000 - 750,000 - 1,000,000 - etc.

This link will allow you to register your car with Volvo. It might help you get your high mileage stuff easier when the time comes (they do NOT send you a bunch of junk mail). http://www.volvocars.com/us/top/yourvol ... fault.aspx
