Is my S70 trying to tell me something?

There are two very strange noises coming from the right side of the cabin in my 98 S70 GLT. First, it squeaks a lot; it sounds like a cricket. Second, when I start up my car sometimes, there is a tapping sound in the same area that sounds like morse code. Maybe a cricket is trying to contact me with morse code... or maybe something is loose? Any ideas? Thanks.

If the squeak is from the dash near the windshield most likely the bolts that hold the dash to the firewall have broken the tabs or are loose if near the glove box the bearings on the heater fan are going.

Is it easy to fix? If so, how would I do it?

The bolts for the dash are located under the plastic cowel located under the wiper arms.
