• 10 Mar, 2012 - Motor oil change 118300 mi, standard PENNZOIL 5W-30/MANN Filter

• 03 Mar, 2012 - Coolant leaked, Inlet and Outlet heater hoses replaced

I have been busy with the repair and maintenance with the exceptional support from cn90 of Omaha, NE.

Practice safety, purchase OE/OEM parts only, and use proper tools and procedures. When in doubt run it by the MVS Moderators.

Oil and filter change is every 4-month, three times a year for a healthy PCV.
Now at 123,338 miles

• March 2013 – Replaced Heater Core, and O-rings

• February/March 2013 – Rebuild Steering Gear from JAC; Serviced U-Joint, and Steering Boot assembly; Switched to Valvoline Max Life for steering fluid

• December 2012 – Installed Bilstein TC Shocks; All New Dunlop Signature II Serie.s tires

• October/November 2012 – Complete Front Suspension with Bilstein TC Struts; Installed New Front Hub-Bearing; Rebuild Driveaxle from Raxles, and replaced both driveaxle seal; Inner and Outer Tie Rods, and boots, Complete Alignment

• August 2012 – Timing Belt and Water pump

• July 2012 – Complete PCV replacement; Serviced IAC valve and the throttle body

• May 2012 – Replaced Transmission Torque Mount; Upper Engine Mounts

• April 2012 – New radiator, thermostat, and hoses; Switched to Zerex-G05

Engine oil level drops close to minimum mark. A quart of fluid disappears every four months, the oil change time. It has been like this for past three years.

After reading several MVS posts, it made me look at the REAR cam seals. The fluid collection was visible on the block, just behind the REAR intake seal, hence this maintenance task. See DIY by cn90 here http://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/forums ... =1&t=50752

• April 2013 - Replaced REAR cam seals at intake and exhaust - Volvo part

• April 2013 - Replaced cap, rotor, wires, and spark plugs

It crossed 125,000 miles recently.
It smelled transmission fluid when the air was running inside the cabin. It appeared wetter around the hoses. I noticed a tablespoon was accumulated on the air guide, hence decided to replace both transmission cooler lines.

• May 2013 - Replaced two transmission cooler lines

• May 2013 - Checked the fluid level while HOT and engine idling, added 1600ml MOBIL ATF 3309 to make up for the lost fluid

It is now reaching 126k-mi. Yesterday it passed another emission test.
After replacing the ATF cooler lines, I decided to catch up a little on my to-dos and prepared to take care of P0455.

• May 2013 - Replaced 2 four inch rubber section of vacuum line at the either end of roll-over valve. It is located near the fuel filter

A rewarding memorial day weekend around the house. My two cars are running well. Once hot, engine and transmission is way too much fun for this lad.

This VML post is about the problem it had developed where the brake pedal would delay releasing the shift from P. Also the ABS and TRACS lights on dash would stay on for longer, and only go off after the daytime running lights come on.

• May 2013 - Replaced ignition switch at the steering wheel.

Various mounts at the engine would benefit from the investment on front suspension components. But these mounts also need replacement. I now have replaced all four mount.

This replacement has silenced idling in D-rive, like it is N-eutral. The gear shift in Sport is even smoother.
