2002 s80 2.9 wont start
My wifes 2002 s80 2.9 113000 miles wont start?we've had car 3 years- wife said it lost power chug chug chug then died.it started right up when i got there but only ran 100yards and died-couldnt keep running-i towed home and cleaned etm throttle body-replaced maf-ck.d fuel pump after in line filter and seems to be pushing fuel very well-what else can i try?
longshot but have you tried a different key - I have heard of the rfid thing dying, the key will start the car but only for a moment
otherwise I would say check the cam sensor and make sure the timing belt is intact if you haven't

Did you ever figure this out? My sister's 2002 S80 is doing the exact same thing; the dealer wanted to charge her $1300 to replace the Throttle Body but I insisted we change it ourselves. After installing the new one, the car exhibited the exact same behavior. I researched the engine codes the dealer identified and found that the coil packs could have gone bad. Even after replacing them, the car still wouldn't start. We're desperate to know how you fixed yours!ftrans12 wrote:timing belt and cam snsor fine-looks like garage time-really cant afford it but this has me bafffled? cant keep throwin money at it tho either
