2008 s80 cigarette lighter "battery hot"

Everything on the Volvo S80. Sometimes called an "executive car", the S80 was Volvo's top-of-the-line passenger car. P2 platform.

2008 s80 cigarette lighter "battery hot"

Post by cdubbs »

I just got a 2008 S80 and before I go out and buy an ohm meter, I was curious if anyone knows any fuse I could switch the interior cigarette lighters to make them "battery hot". Any help is appreciated.

Seems like a late response, but I just bought my S80 V8. From what I researched, there isn't any direct way (wiring wise) to make them constantly 12V+, unless you want to run your own wires and do some cutting and tapping. The trunk has a provision for a 12V+ outlet and that one is supposedly constant 12V. the connector should be found on the passenger side of the trunk near the tail lamp area. In order to use this connector, there is a fuse you must insert in the middle fuse panel on the driver side of the trunk.
