Hi all,
I'm stumped as to how to disconnect the wiring harness from the headlight assembly on my 2005 S60 (NAS - North American car).
Pictures of the headlight assembly connector are attached. The part number on the headlight assembly wiring harness is 8659674 (although the only picture I've been able to find of that harness online shows a different harness).
Can anyone help?
TIA!

Thanks, I'll try that. And yes, there is a square connector close by this one.

OK, I just tried again but no luck. I tried rotating the knurled grey ring relative the black connector part that the ring surrounds, but I can't get the grey ring to move in either the CW or CCW direction. Am I supposed to be turning the entire connector, or just the grey ring? Turning the entire connector doesn't seem to make sense.

Honestly, at this point I just want to get it off so that I know how to. It's nothing more than a Sisyphean effort to figure out how that connector comes off ... I'm frustrated that I can't figure it out, and that bugs me.
(Originally I had wanted to get it off to trace what I thought was an electrical fault with the passenger side headlamp. However, while researching the web for how to undo the connector, it now looks like the fault with the headlight may be in the CEM shunt circuit, but that's for another day.)
I'll keep working at the connector, and hopefully I will figure it out before I break it
