Lighted Dome Light Switch Upgrade

I searched and searched but somehow have missed information on how to add the lighted dome light switch from a 00 s70 to my 97 850. I have the switches but I understand a wire needs to be added? Any help appreciated

You need to provide power to the #8 pin. It is in the corner of the connector.

I ran a 16g wire across and down the pillar of the windshield, easy to get it under the dash that way. You can just stuff the trimmed end of the wire in the connector, then reconnect it and the pin from the dome light console will contact the balled up end of the wire inside the connector. Ghetto I know but this method worked fine on my last car for years.

Power the new wire with any pink wire behind the dash, and the console LEDs will turn on with the rest of the dash lights. There is a free pink socket on that big, open connector by the relay box, that's where I tapped it in the last time I did this.
